Message from Scott Flicker, Intersection Board Chair (April 11, 2025)
On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is an honor to introduce Yesenia Sanchez as Executive Director of Intersection for the Arts. For over 20 years, Yesenia has been associated with Intersection in a wide range of roles, including staff, consultant, Director of Finance, advisor to the Board, and most recently as one of our Executive Co-Directors. Over that time, Yesenia has been involved in shaping nearly every program that Intersection currently offers to the community, and she has a deep understanding of the core elements of our fiscal sponsor and artist resources operating models.
The Board is confident that Yesenia’s leadership, vision, and her standing in the non-profit community, together with the support of our dedicated and amazing staff, will propel Intersection, and the projects we support, to new heights in the Bay Area community arts landscape.
Her new role is effective today.
In 2025, Intersection is celebrating its 60th year as a San Francisco bedrock non-profit organization that supports Bay Area community artists by providing artists with vital resources and professional development programming.
